As is always the case in this field, some trends are here to stay. In fact, many are a continuation of trends that have made their appearance on the scene a few years ago and, far from being passing fads, are maintained and consolidated over time.
Here are some of those trends in architecture and interior design that will be talked about in the coming year, which is just around the corner:
1.– Biophilic architecture and interior design.
This is the best example of a trend that has been growing for years and seems to be here to stay. Do you know what we mean by biophilic architecture and design? “Biophilia” could be translated as “the need to live in harmony with nature”, something that has generated a movement within the world of architecture and interior design leading to homes that are not only more sustainable and efficient, but homes that integrate natural elements to provide the sensation of being in contact with nature.

2.- Minimalism with colour.
Minimalism is a trend in architecture and design that has been in vogue for years. We could even say that it has perhaps declined slightly in recent times. However, now it is once again becoming a trend, but with nuances: a less cold and aseptic minimalism is being sought, and to achieve this, colour is being used. Goodbye to the white, grey, ochre, beige tones… that normally dominated minimalist styles; now a wider range of colours is being incorporated to bring more warmth and life.
This trend in architecture and interior design is very attractive as the simplicity of the straight lines that prevail in minimalism is counterbalanced by the energy and warmth of more vivid colours. 3.- Modular and multifunctional furniture.
Another trend in architecture and interior design for 2024 that has gradually taken hold is multifunctional décor and versatile, modular furniture as a response to the evolution of modern living. Spaces are often smaller and the increasing need for flexibility in the home is leading to a greater adoption of furniture and accessories that serve multiple uses.
From folding tables to sofas with storage or versatile furniture solutions with sliding doors to personalise the space to suit the occasion.
