Análisis de los espacios interiores - gHouse

The importance of carrying out an analysis of interior spaces.

Analysing interior spaces is one of the most important phases of any architecture and interior design project. In fact, without this prior step, it would be impossible to execute an effective real estate design, as it would not be taking into account how these spaces are going to affect the lives of those who will enjoy them later on.

For this reason, this is one of the phases to which we pay most attention at gHouse and we have experts to assess how to arrange the interior spaces considering both the most functional aspects of them as well as the psychological and aesthetic ones.

In other words, our team analyses the interior spaces to be built, refurbished or redistributed in order to create environments that are not only visually attractive, but also efficient and comfortable, well used and emotionally satisfying. But what aspects are analysed in the study of each space? We tell you here.

Aspects of an analysis of interior spaces.

As we tell our clients, at gHouse we have a multidisciplinary team to be able to carry out tasks such as this analysis of interior spaces, which requires the contribution of different professionals (architects, builders, interior designers, cabinet makers…).

This is the only way to analyse the needs, customs and traditions of the users as well as the culture, the environment and the possibilities of the building in order to take everything into account when it comes to the distribution of the space, the choice of furniture (often made to measure), the selection of colours and textures…

Let’s look at some examples of what we do in this analysis of interior spaces:

1.- Flows and practical uses of the space:

One of the fundamental aspects of this preliminary analysis of interior spaces is to know and understand how users are going to use the space and how they are going to move within it. This analysis is key to determine the arrangement of furniture, the location of doors and windows or the connection between different areas of a house or commercial premises.

The analysis of flows and uses not only improves the functionality of the space, but also contributes to providing a more harmonious and comfortable experience for those who use it.

2.- Ergonomic interior design:

Analysing interior spaces also helps to take ergonomics into account in order to design spaces that contribute to providing a more comfortable and healthy life.

For example, this analysis will make it possible to determine the correct height of tables and seats, the presence of steps or ramps, the location of a sofa in relation to the television or the placement of artificial light points… In short, it will make it possible to apply an ergonomic design that not only improves people’s daily lives, but will also have a positive impact on their health and well-being in the long term.

3.- Creation of atmospheres and ambiences:

Taking into account the tastes of the clients and analysing the interior space, we will know how to create that specific atmosphere or type of environment that they want to breathe in their home or workplace. After this analysis, it will be easier to choose colours, textures, lights or materials that will help to compose the interior spaces and above all to transmit a certain perception of them.

The analysis of interior spaces takes into account how the interior of a home or workspace affects the emotional state of the people who inhabit it, hence the aim of creating spaces that facilitate calm, inspiration, work… depending on the functions that are carried out in each space.

In conclusion, the analysis of interior spaces is not only a preliminary phase in the design process that we carry out in our studio, one of the exclusive architecture studios in Mallorca that offer comprehensive services, but it is an essential component in creating environments that are aesthetically attractive, functionally efficient and emotionally pleasing. Understanding how people want to live in these spaces and analysing them to find ways to adapt them is the key to creating or transforming a building into the ideal living or working space.
