You want to know why wooden kitchens are so charming

Although new, much more innovative and sophisticated materials are appearing every day, wood will always be the material par excellence when it comes to the creation and decoration of interior spaces.

Rooms in which wood predominates have a charm that is difficult to define. They are much more welcoming, warm, comfortable spaces… In short, spaces that look unique and with more personality. It doesn’t matter if it is a bedroom or a rustic kitchen, which is the room we want to talk about today in this post.

It is true that new materials have become more popular in kitchens as they are easier to clean and more resistant to the passage of time, but, nevertheless, wood has never completely disappeared from kitchens. It is more present than ever in rustic and classic kitchens as it is a versatile, long-lasting material, which provides elegance and conveys a close elegance.

And although we talk about wooden kitchens thinking about those with a more rustic or country aesthetic, we cannot forget that wood can also be used to create modern and minimalist design kitchens. In short, its versatility and beauty have made it the material of choice for kitchens of all aesthetics.

How to achieve a beautiful wooden kitchen?

1.- With a wooden floor

If there was one part of the kitchen that was traditionally never made of wood, it was the floor. Kitchen floors that were more hygienic and easier to clean were sought after, which is why wood was discarded in favour of other materials such as ceramic tiles.

However, it is becoming increasingly common to find wooden floors in the kitchen. There is a wide range of treated woods available for use in kitchens, both solid wood and mainly wood flooring. In addition, if it is solid wood, a more natural, organic and warm room is achieved.

2.- Through furniture, cupboard fronts and wooden islands

A wooden kitchen not only has wooden beams or ceilings, but in many of them we find that this material is used for furniture, cupboard fronts or kitchen islands.

Wooden islands, for example, are really original and give a very personal touch to these modern kitchens with this layout. However, if the island is made of wood, it creates a less sophisticated effect and a greater sense of connection with the rest of the kitchen and the home.

3.- Through the presence of other materials, even if wood dominates

In an industrial kitchen or one in which microcement predominates, introducing wooden elements can create a very nice contrast that also makes the kitchen more human and cosy.

Therefore, incorporating other wooden elements such as chairs, tables, beams, flooring, doors, shelves… in these modern or minimalist kitchens can give rise to a more personal and warm aesthetic.
