One of our projects: this wine cellar in Sóller, Mallorca
From the wonderful town of Sóller we were commissioned to build a wine cellar in a private residence. The house, in keeping with the impressive natural environment that surrounds it in which the sea and the mountains meet, is a restored manor house with a large presence of materials such as stone or wood. And how could it be otherwise, our first idea was to build a wine cellar that would maintain that architectural and decorative essence.
Its owners, great wine lovers, dreamed of having their own winery where they could not only store wine but also enjoy this drink in a pleasant, rustic and cozy atmosphere.
For this reason, the space destined in the basement to create the winery, was divided into two main parts:
– A space for storing wine in which there is a single room temperature and controlled humidity conditions for the proper conservation of the wines.
– A living area in which the rustic decoration stands out, with stone-lined walls and the presence of many elements of wood and treated metals. The barrels with stools and the decorative details with the bottle corks provide the perfect atmosphere to enjoy a good wine.
In these photos you can see the final result that we want you to like as much as we have liked it and, most importantly, its owners. You can see the different spaces, in which very careful finishes, warm lighting and the perfect combination of stone and wood predominate.
